Last night some of our young members took to the kitchen to make a tasty treat from ingredients grown in our garden.
Some lovely Bramble and Apple Pies were made for us and they were delicious.
What a Summer we have had. Our young members went diving into the history of the area and learnt all sorts of amazing information. For example did you know William Wallace was captured only 10 minutes from Beatroute hiding out in a well.
They worked amazingly hard over 5 weeks and produced a play with 2 songs, a 3 act musical, a song about evacuation during the war, created costumes to go with all of these things and still had time to build an incredible sculpture in our garden space.
The video below is our showcase of the final performaces.
Thanks to Grow WIld, Stalled Spaces and the European Championship fund for making this project possible.
With the sun we have been having lately our garden is really coming into its own and showing off how far its come in the last 3 years.
Of course a lot of thanks must go to Sue and her green fingers for keeping us right and getting everyone involved in the effort of turning what was a no go area and eye-sore into something wonderful
Our young members spent some time in our studio a little while back and recorded some amazing songs. We recorded 10 tracks, 6 of which were originals and 1 was even a live performance.
As a result we though it was only fitting that we put together a limited run of our first ever Beatroute Belters album, each CD has been hand decorated so every one is unique.
We still have a few left for the low price of £5 so if anyone would like one pop into Beatroute or let us know.
The talent and creativity of these young people is incredible
