FAQs

  • Beatroute’s activities are free of charge. However, as we are a small community-owned charity, donations across our services are gratefully received and go directly towards the delivery of all future services.

  • Not at all! Everyone is welcome to take part in activities at Beatroute Arts and our staff will help you to access the activities which are right for you. No experience necessary.

  • No. Beatroute provides all the equipment you will need. For activities such as yoga, you may wish to bring your own equipment such as a mat and that is absolutely fine, but it isn’t required.

  • Beatroute is always keen to hear from people who would like to volunteer and works with everyone on a case-by-case basis. Get in touch with us via the enquiry form here on the site and we will chat with you further.

  • If you are wishing to get involved at Beatroute as a member, please get in touch via the enquiry form on the site and one of our friendly staff will chat you through our activities and current availability. Sometimes when groups are very busy, Beatroute operates a waiting list so you may have to wait a little while to access the activity you are interested in. As Beatroute operates for the residents of the wider Balornock and Barmulloch area, we prioritise people who live within this catchment. That is not to say that you cannot take part, but it’s important that we chat with you to understand where you live and what your circumstances may be; if you live out with the local area, we may be able to signpost you to an appropriate service closer to where you stay.

  • Beatroute Arts offers a range of creative opportunities via outreach (for example in the school environment and for partners across the voluntary and public sector). We offer a bespoke programme of activity for each partner, be it long-term or time-limited, dependent on remit and budget. To chat more, please get in touch with our friendly team via the form above.

  • Beatroute Arts has the capacity to support a small number of students each year wishing to carry out placement with us as part of study at college or university. As we receive a high volume of requests, unfortunately it isn’t possible for us to support everyone. Please get in touch via the form above with a brief outline of your circumstances and one of our friendly team will get back to you.

  • We love to hear about the work of our partners across the sector, and work regularly in partnership with a range of organisations and groups in a variety of ways. If you are interested in collaborating with Beatroute, please get in touch via the form above and one of our friendly team will be in touch.
